TE250 HEX Hydraulic Drifter

The TE250 HEX is a hydraulic percussion drill that uses standard 4 ¼" hex steel, either 7/8" or 1" Hex. The TE250 HEX is the next step up from the largest hand drills. This can improve production in a small quarry by 2-3 times over the old pneumatic sinker drills.

It's simple, a pneumatic drill hits the rock 1,700 times per minute, a hydraulic drill hits the rock 3,400 times per minute. No matter how you look at it a hydraulic drill will drill at least twice as fast as pneumatic. Also, with a hydraulic drill on a feed system you can use one piece of 10-foot steel to start and finish the hole. And finally it takes much less diesel to turn a hydraulic pump than it does to turn screws in an air compressor.
